i think i would rate the square as one of the best places to eat i know (alongside midsummer house and comptoir gascon, perhaps). went for lunch today and it was super. lovely foamy smokey bacon gak, a bit of naughty goosey slab, veal rump + sweatbreads + smoked mash potato and a pasionfruit souffle with lemon ice cream (unlike me i know, but was sort of shared in that e ate about two spoonfuls). i am growing more utterly gross by the minute. still listening to joy division incessantly. that is all.
