so i did a bit of cooking on saturday, in part to recover from time spent in airports last week. as well as a bit of charcuterie (of which perhaps more later), i baked some sourdough which i am happy with - quite possibly its ravishing appearance is due to the new basket E gave me for proving.  i have had the culture going for a while now and it seems to have settled down into a happy little chap after a semi-traumatic birth.
