so here i am trying to build myself up to write up my final answer to a communications paper and generally flapping about. i am rather looking forward, truth be told, to going home and braising some pork belly fro my dinner. the last week has seen duncan and jessie wed, charmingly, in cambrdge amongst rather a lot of work and study. the coming weeks will see study, work, hopefully a delicious meal out or two and the planning of a further holiday. and, i fear further anxiety about quite where i shall live.

so here we are, a month further from the happy holiday memories prompted by the post below. august saw a substantial tension between a busy time at work and a crescendo of exam related anxiety which has yet to find it's apex.

on a culinary theme, i had a nice meal with e at club gascon though little comes to mind as particularly note worthy save a fusion foie dish served on a stone. my own endeavours in the kitchen similarly yield little to stand long in my memory, although a sunday of chutney making seemed appropriate to mark the turning of the season. and in dalston there is always mangal to make me feel hungry.

when all is calm and time permits this blog should, i hope resume more frequent postings. until then i leave you with an entreaty to let me know if there is anywhere jolly i might move to at the end of the month.
