e and i went to whitstable for a couple of days - as ever a lovely place to be. we had lunch at the sportsman: amazing asparagus, brill, lamb gravy particularly noteworthy. yesterday e and i walked to faversham which was good, although i caught the sun a little. unfortunately, i was terribly, terribly ill last night - sadly most probably food poisoning, though i would very much doubt the sportsman is at fault.

pretty ace lunch today with my dad at st john: white cabbage with brown shrimps; poached chicken, butter beans and alioi; apple sorbet. and with london spring like and bathed in a light, clear sun all seems rather well in the world.

well, i must say i am grateful for the long weekend - the weeks of 2010 have so far accumulated a certain weariness in me. also, i have had a chance to go for a curry, see a concert and keep up the momentum with project sourdough 2010:
