made a number of euro-canapes on saturday for small party. probably best received was beetroot-cured salmon (like gravadlax but without the gravad). not a lot else to report - went to the new indie film on sunday and got rained on the rest of the weekend. i fear this week might last forever. still, i am planning mega viscous binge in the basque country to brighten my spirits.

quite a busy week for me work wise post my suffolk adventure, with lots going on. one culianry highlight was some caramelised granny smiths with morcilla from brindisa, which i shall certainly do again. in the office today (and maybe tomorrow too), but hopefully i will get some time to make something viscous.

off to warbleswick this weekend to celebrate the age of my dad. i have been feeling a bit jumpy about some work stuff today so i have decided to procrastinate for a bit. this admirable activity has yielded roellenger's online recipes, via chez pim. these may be my guiding light this summer when inspiration is required in the kitchen (i saw razorclams in the market at lunchtime, hence the gastroporn).
