last night i finally took the hermanos advice and went to the revitalised quo vadis. it is rather good if a little pricey/portion mean - i had razor clams a la barrafina and a lovely but tiny piece of turbot. i am supposed to be in wales this weekend, but instead i am in the office writing a model. upside of this is that i had some rather delicious gazpacho in a bottle form the market and i am also the proud possessor of a morcilla de burgos.

to catch my avid blog readership up on the last 14 days would be both impossible and dull. instead i shall tell you about what i ate yesterday. i finally took pa out to lunch to celebrate his advanced years at the ledbury. i had a salad with truffle and pheasant egg (notable for sweet spring onions and actually tasting of truffle), venison with celeriac, sweet potatoes and fir and an absolutely enormous plate of cheese of high quality. later i cooked clams and a cracking mullet for e which was tasty, if a little disappointing in that the skin fell off. i must now attend to my model.
