back from france, relaxed if a little lobster like in appearance. to be brutal, i am a bit more unkeen on returning to the office than is usual post holiday. perhaps it is the thouhght of the impending sea fruit drought (of which perhaps more later). on my way back from liverpool street yesterday i saw the hardest policmen i have ever seen "arresting" someone from the vantage point of a bus of spanish kids. it is good to be back in london.

off to st palais today, i am dreadfully excited. i fear i am leaving all sorts of things undone. last week i visited hawksmoor which i can heartily recommend for committed carnivores. over the weekend i briefly went to see old people including my uncle peter. he seems to live a terribly enlightened life full of sour dough, home made sausage and allotment beetroot (although i do suspect him of organicism - we all have our vices). i shall cook all of the fruits of the sea this week, and have been planning what i shall do for ages.

oh buggeration. i have been flapping about this afternoon like nobody's business achieving nothing at all. i have an awful feeling i am going to fail tomorrow's exam, and that there is nothing i can do about it. all because i cant spell. i wish i had paid more attention in primary school. i am going out for a walk.

went to st john on tuesday, which was jolly good. i did manage to lose a couple of fingerprints to scalding hot marrow bones which is unfortunate, even if bodes well for my career as a safe breaker. i am relatively excited, as tonight i will be furthering my experiments in cooking with salad.
