so, lots going on just now, not tons to report. here are a couple of pics form last week (onion tart 2011, pea and goat curd h/t stjb&w):

am settling into new flat and seems to have an almost constant diet of admin fun. my flat now has some furniture, but is a bit light on dining chairs. my tomatoes are coming on a pace. today's dilemma is as follows: should i get in some whisky so i can have the occasional scotchlet, or does madness and generally drinking a bit too much lie that way? tonight i am cooking rice 'n peas, pig 'n milk and gooseberries - further pictures may follow.

after three days of looking, have selected a dining table. now onto the chairs.

this blog, and the restaurant which goes with it, look 1000 different kinds of awesome.

cooking form new flat - roast chicken with spring veg and chorizo/turnip/squid

first relatively proper dinner cooked at new flat last night with e (salad, chorizo/turnip/squid). some learning for me remains in the stove, but the white burg we tried was really terrific i would say.
